The WindEurope Annual Event 2026, held in Madrid at IFEMA, brought together more than 15,000 participants, 624 exhibitors and 460 speakers from across the global wind energy industry, consolidating its status as one of the most important gatherings in the sector.

ASIME, lead partner of AOFFTECH, was present at the event through the Galician Offshore Energy Group (GOE-Asime), representing over 50 companies, technology centres and port authorities from Galicia’s offshore wind industry.

During the fair, ASIME showcased Galicia’s industrial capacity in the offshore wind sector, particularly in fixings for both fixed and floating wind turbines, and in the construction of service vessels for offshore wind farm, and held meetings with major operators from around the world. The stand received visits from clusters and companies from Belgium, France, Poland, Portugal, Northern Ireland, the UAE and Italy.

ASIME also used the event to call for greater momentum in launching Spain’s first public offshore wind auction, and to promote the 8th GOinterHUB Congress, to be held on 10 and 11 June in Ferrol.
