The University of A Coruña (UDC), a partner in the AOFFTECH project, will participate in the 8th Galician Offshore International Hub (GOinterHUB) & 4th Offshore Wind Energy Congress, which will take place in Ferrol and A Coruña (Galicia, Spain) from 10 to 12 November.
UDC will take part in the roundtable discussion “From coexistence to collaboration: new opportunities for offshore wind”, which will explore ways to foster mutual understanding between offshore wind and other activities that share the maritime space, such as fishing, as well as the new opportunities for collaboration emerging in the sector.
GOinterHUB has established itself as one of the leading international forums for knowledge sharing and outreach on offshore wind energy, bringing together more than 400 industry professionals every year. In parallel, the Offshore Wind Energy Congress, organised by the Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE), brings together key stakeholders from the offshore industry to discuss the latest developments, challenges and opportunities in offshore wind and across its entire value chain, both nationally and internationally. The event combines presentations, panel discussions, technical visits and networking opportunities.
AOFFTECH’s participation in this event reinforces the project’s commitment to dialogue among the different stakeholders involved in the maritime space, one of the project’s key areas of work in its pursuit of the sustainable and collaborative deployment of floating offshore wind energy in the Atlantic Area.
