AOFFTECH heads to Dublin: floating offshore wind workshop at Renewable Energy Expo Ireland 2026

13 de October de 2026

AOFFTECH will be present at the first-ever Renewable Energy Expo Ireland, taking place on 21 and 22 October 2026 at the RDS Main Arena in Dublin. Our partners Marine Institute and University College Cork (UCC) will represent the project at the event, organised by Wind Energy Ireland in partnership with Energy Storage Ireland and Solar Ireland.

A new meeting point for Ireland’s renewable energy sector

For the first time, the expo brings Ireland’s solar, storage and wind industries together under one roof. Over two days, industry leaders and companies from Ireland and abroad will take part in an expanded programme of expert-led discussions, new research and practical workshops. The event is also an EU Presidency associated event.

Our side event: Floating Offshore Wind workshop

On Wednesday 21 October, AOFFTECH will host a side event dedicated to floating offshore wind. During the workshop, our partners will present and discuss the white paper “State of the Art of Offshore Wind Technologies and Key Implementation Obstacles in the Atlantic Area: Foundations for a Cross-Border Industrial Roadmap”.

The paper analyses the main opportunities and challenges for floating offshore wind in the Atlantic Area, from technology and ports to infrastructure and the supply chain. The workshop will be an opportunity to share its findings and gather input from stakeholders across the sector.

The workshop aims to help build a shared, cross-border roadmap for the sector. We invite industry, research, port and public-sector stakeholders to join the discussion and contribute to the future of floating offshore wind in the Atlantic Area.
